In 1983, Bob and Idelle Weinstein started Bob's Metals as a one-man operation under the Ross Island Bridge in Portland, Oregon. With a single truck and a handshake, Bob built a reputation on honest weights, fair prices, and showing up when he said he would.
Over four decades, that reputation grew into something bigger. The operation relocated to its current 14-acre site on N. Columbia Blvd, expanded its fleet, invested in processing equipment, and built one of the most advanced stormwater treatment systems in the scrap industry.
Today, Bob's Metals is a second-generation family business led by Mike and David Weinstein. The values haven't changed — we still believe in honest weights, fair prices, and showing up when we say we will. We've just gotten better at it.
